Role Purpose:
Accountable for delivering the automation solution for the project, collaborating with Technical Leads and Area Leads to meet scope, schedule, and cost objectives.
Requirements of the Automation Project Manager:
- BS in Engineering or equivalent.
- 10+ years in pharmaceutical automation (preferably API/bulk manufacturing).
- Experience managing large pharmaceutical automation projects (DeltaV expertise preferred).
- Proficiency in project management tools (P6/MS Project) and risk management.
- Formal project management credentials desirable.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and regulatory knowledge.
Responsibilities of the Automation Project Manager:
- Lead and deliver automation solutions aligned with program expectations.
- Plan, monitor, and control project activities, ensuring scope, cost, and schedule compliance.
- Manage automation resources, staffing, and integration with MES, BMS, and Data Historian teams.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, oversee progress reporting, and support cost/schedule estimates.
- Coordinate issue tracking, risk management, and lessons learned documentation.
