Position located in Waltham, MA

Responsibilities of the Facilities Engineer:

• Manage direct reports who help maintain facilities, equipment, systems.
• Manages building systems to ensure optimal operations and performance while supporting and responding to building related disruptions.
• Acts as a subject matter expert for all MEP projects and systems. Manages and monitors consultants and vendors for compliance.
• Applies engineering expertise to evaluate and troubleshoot the performance of critical infrastructure systems and equipment.
• Site Safety Coordinator and manage EHS consultant.
• Evaluates existing and emerging equipment for upgrades or replacement of existing systems.
• Work with service vendors and equipment owners for calibrations, equipment maintenance, preventative maintenance and modifications.

Requirements of the Facilities Engineer:

• Minimum of 3 years managing facilities and/or laboratories, preferably within cGMP requirements.
• Demonstrated facilities engineering experience in biotech or pharmaceutical environment.
• Experience with calibration and metrology programs.
• Familiar with GMP manufacturing equipment.
• Understanding and ability to apply ASTM E2500.
