Social Worker
Salary: $73,000–$87,000/yr based on experience.
Summary:
The Behavioral Health Services (BHS) department of this outpatient, nonprofit organization seeks skilled professionals to join a diverse team of experienced, multicultural, and bilingual clinicians. The team provides comprehensive treatment for children, adolescents, and adults through individual, group, couple, and family therapy sessions.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver therapy focused on PTSD and depression, as well as issues like anxiety, grief, domestic violence, relationship challenges, parent-child conflicts, acculturation issues, or severe mental illnesses, including substance abuse.
- Complete all clinical documentation in Epic according to Health Center standards.
- Meet direct care targets set by the BHS Department.
- Fulfill mandatory reporting requirements, including reporting abuse or neglect of children, elderly, or disabled individuals.
- Initiate referrals for substance abuse treatment, coordinate services, manage complex cases (involving DCF and the courts), and provide crisis intervention for patients with suicidal or homicidal ideation, including consultation with medical staff and ED referrals.
- Offer consultation and collaboration with medical providers to support holistic patient care.
- Actively participate in MDT, team meetings, and community meetings as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Experience or interest in working with individuals facing abuse, anxiety, depression, substance abuse, personality disorders, or other behavioral health challenges.
- Prior experience in individual counseling in an outpatient setting is required.
- Ability to work effectively with a culturally diverse population.
- Strong organizational skills and a team-oriented approach.
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory.
- Master’s or doctoral degree in mental health counseling or social work required.
- Must hold an LICSW, LSW, or LMHC licensure in good standing with the state of Massachusetts
- CPR certification required.
